A Big Thank You to Students, Parents & Staff of NGTHS
We have safely landed in Singapore at 2240h (Singapore time).
We would like to take this opportunity to thank students and staff who had taken time off their busy schedule to send us off at the airport. Your presence had clearly reinforced the strong relationships between the 2 schools.
It has been an enriching learning experience for both the students and staff of NVSS.
We would like to wish all the staff, students and parents of NGHTS good health and happiness.

Our Top Ambassadors
It was indeed an enriching experience for both the students and staff, especially so for our students. We have seen them grown from strength to strength, in the areas of discipline, conduct, cultural awareness, global awareness and many many more. They have done a great job in representing our school and our country, our young ambassadors.
Among these great ambassadors, the teachers had chosen the top ambassador for each group and they are:
Day 10 - Gourmet Tour + Departure for Singapore
Staff and students from NGTHS was at the airport to send us off

GOURMET TOUR
The students had a taste of how a "wet market" in Vietnam looks like, as they were taken to a tour of the market at Ben Thanh Market by the Chef of the cooking class.
Following the visit to the wet market, we proceed to our cooking class. Everyone has a chance to cook and eat on their own food!
Frying of the donuts
Mdm Yeo and Ms Chua enjoying "massaging" the donuts :)
Our Principal, Mr Chen, getting into the act as well.
Showing off their "masterpiece"
Posing with the completed donuts, why aren't they eating?
Aizah about to try on her own cooking

Day 8 "An Emotional Rollercoaster"
(Ms Lam, Duc Anh, Joven, Duc Anh's mother & Bao Qin)
Even though it has only been 4 days, the boys are so attached to their buddy and his family that everyone cried buckets when they had to bid farewell.
As Principal Nguyen Van Vuong delivered his farewell speech, the Vietnamese pupils started tearing as they know they will miss their buddies from Singapore.
Everybody altogether, for the last time, in Ho Chi Minh City.
Thank you, parents of NGTHS pupils who made all these happen. On behalf of the pupils from North View Secondary School, we sincerely thank each and everyone of you for making this home stay programme a success. Thank you for all the support and generosity.
After all the teary goodbyes, we went to a local supermarket to purchase supplies for an orphanage at Go Vap.
This visit opened the eyes and hearts of many of our pupils. What they witnessed at the orphanage are people and thing that they were not expecting but are bits of reality. There is no doubt that they definitely appreciate what they have now, a lot more.
Lastly, the kind people at Minh Long made a delivery this evening and all our painted bowls finally arrived! I am sure these bowls will come in useful at home!
In case you miss your child / brother / sister / friend already, fret not! He/she will be home really soon. What I can promise is that they will come home a little heavier than before (both themselves and their bags).
