Day 8 "An Emotional Rollercoaster"

(Ms Lam, Duc Anh, Joven, Duc Anh's mother & Bao Qin)
Even though it has only been 4 days, the boys are so attached to their buddy and his family that everyone cried buckets when they had to bid farewell.

As Principal Nguyen Van Vuong delivered his farewell speech, the Vietnamese pupils started tearing as they know they will miss their buddies from Singapore.

Everybody altogether, for the last time, in Ho Chi Minh City.

Thank you, parents of NGTHS pupils who made all these happen. On behalf of the pupils from North View Secondary School, we sincerely thank each and everyone of you for making this home stay programme a success. Thank you for all the support and generosity.

After all the teary goodbyes, we went to a local supermarket to purchase supplies for an orphanage at Go Vap.

This visit opened the eyes and hearts of many of our pupils. What they witnessed at the orphanage are people and thing that they were not expecting but are bits of reality. There is no doubt that they definitely appreciate what they have now, a lot more.

Lastly, the kind people at Minh Long made a delivery this evening and all our painted bowls finally arrived! I am sure these bowls will come in useful at home!

In case you miss your child / brother / sister / friend already, fret not! He/she will be home really soon. What I can promise is that they will come home a little heavier than before (both themselves and their bags).
